The minimum wage is often quoted in gross terms — but what a worker actually receives after income tax and social contributions is what matters. This guide converts 2026 minimum wages in major economies to real monthly take-home pay, adjusted for each country's tax and social contribution system. We also compare purchasing power to assess actual living standards.
All figures are approximate for a single worker with standard deductions, 2024/2025 rates. Monthly gross assumes full-time work (~40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year ÷ 12).
